Introducing our Sports Series 4" High Flow Metallic Catted Downpipe, engineered specifically for the U.S.-spec B46 or B48 2.0L turbo engine. Note: This is not compatible with B48 engines found in EU/Asia models—the downpipes are not interchangeable due to design differences.


Why Upgrade?

Factory downpipes include a restrictive ceramic catalytic converter with a 900-cell core, significantly choking exhaust flow and creating turbulence, especially harmful in turbocharged applications. Exhaust gases must squeeze through these fine "honeycomb" structures, slowing velocity and increasing backpressure.

Our solution: a 200-cell metallic core that provides vastly better flow characteristics. Fewer cells per square inch = larger internal flow paths = better breathing for your turbo.

Smarter Transition Design

The factory downpipe reduces pipe diameter too quickly (4" to 3"), creating turbulence at both ends of the cat. Our design incorporates longer, smoother transitions from the turbo to the exhaust, resulting in less flow disruption, better throttle response, and faster turbo spool-up.


Flex Section for Real-World Durability

We retain the factory-style stainless steel flex bellow, allowing critical movement and flexibility in your exhaust system. This prevents stress cracks and premature failure—especially important for lowered cars or vehicles subjected to rough roads or aggressive driving.

Cheap aftermarket flex joints often only use stainless braid with mild steel end caps—ours are 100% stainless steel, inside and out.

***On xDrive / all wheel drive models, there is a driveshalf running from the transfer case to the rear differential that the standard front wheel drive cars do not have. This driveshaft sits right underneath the downpipe and blocks the removal. On a typical installation, you would need to disconnect the driveshaft (requires special driveshaft tool) or lower the front subframe to give enough clearance to remove the downpipe. This add significant installation time and complication to the installation. Our solution is the 2 piece xDrive version allows you to remove and install the downpipe without removing the driveshaft or lowering the front subframe. This will save you considerable time (money) on installation and allows quicker, easier servicing.***
