Unique ModdedMini ECU Unlock and Clone Service

All Gen1 and Gen 2 Bosch MEVD17 and MG1 ECUs and more

ModdedMini offers an Engine ECU (DME) unlock and clone service for those customers that already have their tuning supplied by their favorite tuner.

This option is available for all Gen1 and Gen2 engine F-Chassis Mini, and all Gen1 and Gen2 B48/B58/S58, N63/S63 BMWs from around 2014 to 2024.

There are two ECU (DME) types:
Early ECU type - Bosch MEVD1723 for B36/38 and B46/B48 engines.

Late ECU type - Bosch MG1CS201 (DME 841T) for B36C and B46C/B46D and B48D/B48E engines.

Early ECU type is for Mini Cooper, Cooper S, or JCW, etc. from 2014 - 2019, as well as BMW i8, X1 and X2. Some of these may be locked for OBD tuning following dealer updates.

Late ECU type is for Mini Cooper, Cooper S, JCW, etc. from 2019-2024, as well as BMW F48 X1 and F39 X2. Most of these will be locked for OBD tuning.

A. *All Late ECU Cars produced after 06/2019 to 2024 may now be bench unlocked. The ECU must be shipped to ModdedMini for unlock.

B. *Optionally, we can provide a clone ECU made specifically for the car; ModdedMini is the first and only company providing this service in North America. ECU hardware is included! This requires bench work of the car's modules and will require shipping. You keep your original ECU. This is especially useful if you have the car go to stock completely. ECUs can be swapped plug-and-play for the car they are prepared for.

You must provide your car's year, exact model, and full VIN at the time of order.

Most Unlock only services are done within 1-2 business days.
Most Clone ECU + Unlock services are done within 2-3 business days and depending on availability.
